The North Shore of Oahu is home to some
of the biggest waves in the world during the winter months! An
unfortunate side effect is that the beach sand comes and goes with the
seasons. Last winter's swells
took away more than normal and this past summer did not it bring it
back yet.
You can see by these aerial shots that
the sand currently starts just a short 75 feet to the north of the Tropical
Waters property and goes on for several miles.
The now bare lava finger that sticks
out into the ocean fronting the homes provides the most exciting tide
pools and shell collecting! |
